The new EMS Events Module brings a range of powerful features designed to simplify event management, reduce duplicate records, and streamline financial processes.
These enhancements not only improve the staff experience but also deliver a smoother registration journey for members and participants.
Key Highlights of the New Features
1. Improved Invoice Management
Staff can now adjust or cancel event registrations directly from the finance invoices section. A key update allows changing the “Bill To” contact on unpaid invoices, improving flexibility for organizations that manage registrations on behalf of others. The original invoice is reversed, and a fresh invoice is issued to the designated contact
2. Duplicate Contact Preventaion
A new global setting helps prevent the creation of duplicate contacts during event registration. Organizations can enforce required fields such as email, phone, or address, making it easier for iMIS to detect and manage duplicate records. Event managers also have the option to disable new contact creation entirely.
3. Flexible Registration Options
Staff can register multiple participants at once using Register multiple contacts link on the event Showcase tab under the same “Bill To” contact, ideal for group or company registrations. Additionally, cancellation fees can now be applied directly at the time of canceling a registration, ensuring consistent financial tracking. Video Instructions
4. Pricing Groups and Community Integration
Event pricing can now be tied to dynamic community groups. Once built in RiSE, these groups appear in the Commerce tab, making it easier to manage and track special pricing setups (e.g., spouses, board members, or executive groups). This creates opportunities for better cross-departmental use and consistency across events.
5. Enhanced Event Setup and Display
Each event can now have a unique landing page or leverage a default template for consistency. The setup process has been streamlined with tabs for pricing, registration options, program items, and speakers. Staff can also generate event-specific reports directly from the dashboard.
6. Automatically issuing invoices upon checkout
iMIS can also be configured to automatically generate invoices at checkout, ensuring cleaner reporting.
Why It Matters
The updated Events Module empowers organizations to reduce administrative overhead, avoid duplicate records, and create a better experience for both staff and participants. With flexible group registrations, customizable landing pages, and smarter financial tools, event planning and execution become significantly more efficient.
