Company administrators and association staff alike can now manage roster member renewal billing from a centralized location in the iMIS EMS Enterprise version. This feature streamlines the billing process for company administrators and association staff by avoiding time spent navigating between member accounts and processing individual transactions. If your organization offers company or corporate membership, this new List billing feature offered in iMIS EMS Enterprise is likely for you.
List billing allows organizations to be directly billed for their roster members’ membership fees. To pay membership fees, staff users or company administrators simply select Renew Now from the organization’s profile page and are then taken to the list billing page.
From the list billing page, staff users and company administrators can pay for all roster member renewals in bulk with a single transaction or use the list billing page’s filters to view memberships flagged as:
- Pay now – Displays the members who will be included in your list billing payment
- Pay later – Displays the member renewals that Staff opted to pay later
- Cancelled – Displays the members who have been cancelled from the current payment
Adjustments can be made from the list billing page as well and include:
- Removing or adding membership line items
- Marking memberships for Pay Later
- Canceling memberships
- Editing line-item prices (staff only)
There are two ways to enable the list billing feature. List billing can be defined at the customer type level by enabling ‘Bill organization’ on the customer type set up page from Settings > Contacts > Customer types. This will automatically send all customers of this type to the list billing page for renewal. Conversely, list billing can be enabled at the individual level by entering the ID number of the organization responsible for fees in the ‘Bill to ID for renewals’ field.
